Professional Development Units (PDUs) are one-hour blocks of time spent learning, volunteering or tutoring. Collecting them is required to maintain your certification status. Different certifications have different demands/ requirements for PDU maintenance.
How to earn PDUs?
To maintain your certification, you must accumulate the required PDUs in project management. You can earn PDUs by:
- Attending a course or training.
- Attending relevant meetings, events, and activities that offer educational value and networking opportunities.
- Engaging in self-paced online learning.
- Reading relevant books, articles, and blogs.
- Work as a practitioner in your certified role.
- Producing content like books, blogs, articles, or presentations for practitioners and the public.
You can also earn PDUs by joining courses and membership by the Institute of Project Management (IPM).
