Community Guidelines

IPM is dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment where project management professionals from across the globe can connect, share, and learn. In the endeavour to provide all of our users with a positive experience and keep our community productive, all users must submit to the Terms & Conditions and adhere to these Community Guidelines.  

Code of Conduct

IPM members shall commit to professionalism and practice generally accepted norms of etiquette at all times.  

  • Be respectful when interacting with fellow members of the community or with IPM staff via emails, phone calls, or the site’s interactive functions. All members claim ethical responsibility for their conduct across the site.  
  • IPM members are held to a standard of honesty across all interactions. Members must not knowingly misinform or exploit the inexperience of another user; this includes any information or professional advice provided in bad faith. 
  • Members must not knowingly or maliciously damage the professional reputation of another user. 
  • While you may disagree with another member’s thoughts or opinions, we ask that you keep the conversation professional, productive, and courteous.  
  • Any content deemed unlawful, offensive, libellous, or otherwise reported to disturb users will not be tolerated. This includes bullying, profanity, innuendo, and hate speech, as well as content that aims to threaten, harass, impersonate, or defame other users or entities.  

Self-promotion and Spam

We ask that members refrain from self-promotion or advertisement of other businesses. Promotion, advertisement, and solicitation of products or entities not affiliated with IPM may be considered spam and reported or removed from the site.  

Collaboration and Support

To foster a collaborative and enriching environment, we encourage active participation through the exchange of valuable insights, expertise, and mutual support. This includes demonstrating a willingness to seek assistance when needed, while also readily offering help to colleagues within the community. We encourage you to keep discussions relevant to project management and related topics. By responsibly sharing resources, tools, and knowledge, we can collectively contribute to the ongoing professional development and success of this community. 

Privacy

To keep IPM Membership platform a safe place to connect and share, be mindful of the private information you choose to disclose about yourself and others. Disclosing personal contact information, location, or other personal details about yourself or others is done at your own discretion and should be done only with the permission of all relevant parties.  

Be sure that none of the information you disclose violates any professional privacy concerns or contractual agreements you have made, including individual corporate security policies.   

As per the Terms & Conditions, IPM reserves the right to remove any offending content and restrict the site use or revoke the membership of any individual who violates these guidelines. Any user whose membership is terminated as the result of a violation of the Community Guidelines as determined by IPM forfeits any fees or costs paid to IPM over the course of their membership.  

If you observe behavior or content that violates these guidelines, please use the “Report” function found in the three-dot menu on the top right corner of posts or forums.
